Weddings

We provide the venue.

The grounds comprise some three acres of private garden and lawns with magnificent panoramic views over Studland Bay stretching to Bournemouth and the Isle of Wight. Surrounded by mature trees on three sides (the fourth side faces the sea) the garden is totally secluded and as we are a private house you have exclusive access.

We have kept our fees unchanged since 2017 and the venue hire is 4950, there are no hidden extras and we do not charge VAT.
We have an event power socket that provides power from the grid and supplies all the electricity for the event: the lighting, band, kitchens and portaloos. Should there be a power cut (these are rare) we have a back-up generator that will ensure the party keeps going. Our charge for the event power (including the back-up generator) is 200 and this includes all the power used.

Everything Else

You provide the marquee, caterers, florist etc. Our preferred marquee supplier is Coastal Tents, they have superb marquees, are only a few miles away and provide an excellent service. Recommended caterers and other suppliers have all been here before and provided an excellent service. We make every effort to help and there is always someone here to guide deliveries, give a hand etc. We will be happy to give advice on what has worked in the past and help out in way we can. Amplified music must stop by 11:00pm, this complies with the Noise Act and allows our neighbours, the hotels and the boats in the bay to sleep peacefully.

You will have the exclusive use of the designated areas of the grounds for one day and as long as is reasonable to set up and clear up.

Parking

Ample parking is available at the National Trust car park which is situated next to the pub. This is a very short, pleasant walk to either us or the Church and is well(?) situated for the thirsty or the nervous. If you are having a Church wedding this means that the car only needs to be parked once and it is easy to come from the church to us on foot. This is great fun and can involve an informal procession down the idyllic leafy lane led by the bride and groom. As it is a National Trust car park there is no fee for N.T. members but there is a pay and display system which is about 4 a day (spring 2012) 9 a day (summer 2019) for non-members.
