Studland Beach
** Save Middle Beach Cafe Campaign **

The National Trust are going to demolish this much loved cafe starting in Autumn 2016. If you know Studland you will know the Middle Beach Cafe . It is a charming, unpretentious cafe serving good cafe fare at affordable prices with a priceless location and a million dollar view. It was built post war and has remained unchanged ever since, just the odd coat of paint but otherwise our grandparents would be right at home.

Next to the Cafe are the Beach Toilets, a very well designed and constructed facility, perfectly suited and situated for beach users and walkers. The National Trust plans to demolish these in Autumn 2016 along with the ForeAdventure Sea School and the historic Coastguard station.

There is a vigorous local campaign to prevent these demolitions and preserve these buildings that are an essential and vital part of the Studland culture and economy. The website for the campaign is www.savemiddlebeach.org.uk and there are pages on face book and 38 Degrees. If are a National Trust member be sure to vote for the Save Middle Beach Cafe resolution at the AGM. Do not give your proxy vote to the Chairman, he always votes against members resolutions and the weight of the proxy votes always turn a pass into a fail. Make sure that you specifically vote for the resolution.

Thank you for your support.
